Wilhelm (Bill) Meierling joined United Way Worldwide in August 2010 to provide communications support for local United Ways around the world. With over a decade in the field, Bill has counseled clients including Eskom (South Africa), Microsoft (China), Starbucks (Rwanda) on international communications and regional policy issues. As a political strategist, Bill directed local and national campaigns in Argentina, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Nicaragua and the United States.
Bill holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Spanish from Hampden‐Sydney College and a master’s degree in Political Management and Political Communication from the Graduate School of Political Management at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. He has been featured on the BBC and CSPAN and has published numerous pieces on political action, international campaigning, PAC Management, and professional advocacy. In his spare time, Bill serves as an adjunct professor of multicultural public relations at the George Washington University.
